Eldridge breaks school record in 400 hurdles at Al Owens Classic
ALLENDALE, Mich. – Freshman London Eldridge broke the school record in the 400-meter hurdles to lead the Olivet College women’s track and field team at the Al Owens Classic, hosted by Grand Valley State University. The unscored meet saw more than 15 schools from Michigan and neighboring states participate.

ALLENDALE, Mich. – Freshman London Eldridge broke the school record in the 400-meter hurdles to lead the Olivet College women's track and field team at the Al Owens Classic, hosted by Grand Valley State University. The unscored meet saw more than 15 schools from Michigan and neighboring states participate.
- Eldridge clocked-in at 1:08.01 in the 400-meter hurdles to finish fifth in the race and break the school record by 0.38 seconds. Jenna Mayle was the previous record-holder, running 1:08.39 on May 9, 2013. Eldridge also ran the 100-meter hurdles in a season-best time of 16.12 seconds.
- Posting personal-best performances were:
- Senior Kaylee Richardson in the 3,000-meter steeplechase (12:59.59)
- Senior Taylor Thelen in the 800-meter run (3:03.48)
- Other season-best performances were:
- Freshman Berniah Alexander in the discus (86'11") and hammer (93'11")
- Freshman Emily Norkowski in the 100-meter hurdles (16.46)
- Sophomore Ashley Santo in the discus (111'6") and hammer (110'0")
- Sophomore Taylor Wilsey in the 100-meter dash (13.52)
- Wilsey, junior Gabby Jolliff, Norkowski and Eldridge in the 4x100-meter relay (52.15)
- The Comets compete at the Davenport University Invitational next Friday and Saturday, April 29-30.
