Women’s indoor track and field team places fifth at MIAA Championship
ANGOLA, Ind. – The Olivet College women’s indoor track and field team placed fifth at the 2022 Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Championship today at Trine University’s Keith E. Busse/Steel Dynamics Athletic and Recreation Center. The fifth-place finish is the highest finish, as well as the 47 points scored is the most in school history at the MIAA indoor championship.

ANGOLA, Ind. – The Olivet College women's indoor track and field team placed fifth at the 2022 Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Championship today at Trine University's Keith E. Busse/Steel Dynamics Athletic and Recreation Center. The fifth-place finish is the highest finish, as well as the 47 points scored is the most in school history at the MIAA indoor championship.
- Senior Lillian Albaugh won the shot put with a mark of 42 feet, 11-1/2 inches. With the win, she is now a six-time MIAA champion in the shot put, winning indoors titles in 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, and outdoor titles in 2019 and 2021. She also finished eighth in the weight throw with a mark of 42 feet, 6 inches.
- Junior Gabby Jolliff was second in the pole vault, clearing the bar at 9 feet, 10 inches. She placed fifth in the high jump with a season-best 4 feet, 11-1/2 inch clearance.
- Freshman London Eldridge finished third in the 400-meter dash with a season-best time of 1:02.05 and fourth in the 60-meter hurdles with another season-best time at 9.73 seconds.
- Freshman Emily Norkowski was third in the 60-meter hurdles with a season-best time of 9.40 seconds. She also scored seventh-place points in the long jump with a season-best performance of 16 feet, 7-3/4 inches.
- The 4x400-meter relay team of Norkowski, sophomore Allyson Stevens, freshman Abbey Peters and Eldridge placed sixth with a time of 4:25.59.
- The distance medley quartet of Peters, sophomore Tonya Tepin, junior Sam Susalla and senior Kaylee Richardson finished seventh with a time of 14:02.90.
