Women’s track and field team sits sixth at MIAA Field Day
ALMA, Mich. – The Olivet College women’s track and field team stands in sixth-place after the first day of the 2021 Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Field Day, hosted by Alma College. The Comets have 16 points.

ALMA, Mich. – The Olivet College women's track and field team stands in sixth-place after the first day of the 2021 Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Field Day, hosted by Alma College. The Comets have 16 points.
- Junior Lillian Albaugh captured the MIAA title in the shot put, with a mark of 40 feet, 6-1/4 inches. She is now a five-time MIAA shot put champion. Albaugh won the title at the 2019, 2020 and 2021 indoor championships, and 2019 and 2021 outdoor championships.
- Sophomore Gabby Jolliff cleared the pole vault bar at 8 feet, 6-1/4 inches to finish in fourth-place.
- Freshman Abbey Johnston scored an eighth-place point in the hammer throw with a season-best mark of 122 feet, 10 inches.
- Freshman Taylor Wilsey has advanced to tomorrow's finals of the 100-meter dash. Her preliminary time of 13.47 seconds was seventh-fastest of 14 runners.
- Also in the 100-meter dash, freshman Alex DeVault completed the race in a season-best time of 13.61 seconds.
- The second day of the MIAA Field Day is tomorrow. Field events start at 10 a.m., followed by track finals at 1:30 p.m.
