Women’s indoor track and field team is third at Trine Indoor Meet
ANGOLA, Ind. – The Olivet College women’s track and field team was third today at the Trine University Indoor Meet, held at the Keith E. Busse/Steel Dynamics Athletic and Recreation Center. The Comets had 70 points.

ANGOLA, Ind. – The Olivet College women's track and field team was third today at the Trine University Indoor Meet, held at the Keith E. Busse/Steel Dynamics Athletic and Recreation Center. The Comets had 70 points.
- Junior Lillian Albaugh took first-place in the shot put (39 feet, 7-3/4 inches).
- Junior Kaylee Richardson finished second in the mile run (6:16.15).
- Freshman Jersey Gaedert turned-in the second-quickest time in the 60-meter dash (8.50) and third-quickest time in the 200-meter dash (28.43). Both times were also season-bests for her.
- Sophomore Gabby Jolliff tied for third in the high jump (4'7-3/4") and pole vault (9'2-1/4"). The mark in the high jump is a season-best, while the mark in the pole vault is a career-best.
- Freshman Taylor Wilsey placed third in the long jump (14'10-3/4").
- Season-best performances were turned in by:
- Brianna Bailey: long jump (12'1-1/4")
- Savanna Baughan: 60-meter dash (9.92) and 200-meter dash (33.68)
- Alex DeVault: 60-meter dash (8.66) and 200-meter dash (29.24)
- Abbey Johnston: long jump (13'6")
- The Comets compete next Friday, March 5, at the 2021 Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Women's Indoor Track & Field Championships. Calvin University is the host school, and the championships are taking place at the Huizenga Tennis & Track Center in Grand Rapids. Field events get started at 10 a.m., followed by running events at 4 p.m.
NOTE: To achieve a season-best performance above, the student-athlete must have competed in an event at least one other time this season.
