Two school records broken, numerous season-bests for indoor track and field teams at Mike Lints Alumni Open
ALLENDALE, Mich. – Two school records were broken and numerous season-best performances were set for the Olivet College men’s and women’s indoor track and field teams today at the 2020 Grand Valley State University Mike Lints Alumni Open, held inside the Kelly Family Sports Center.

ALLENDALE, Mich. – Two school records were broken and numerous season-best performances were set for the Olivet College men's and women's indoor track and field teams today at the 2020 Grand Valley State University Mike Lints Alumni Open, held inside the Kelly Family Sports Center.
- Freshman Jordon Butler broke his own school record in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 8.88 seconds.
- The 4x400-meter relay team of junior Tyler Chavalia, senior Noah Bailey, freshman Jordon Brown and sophomore Kyle McDowell shattered the school record with a time of 3:20.72. The previous record was 3:26.00.
- Butler and Bailey finished 3-4 in the long jump. Butler leaped 22 feet, 4-1/2 inches, while Bailey had a mark of 22 feet, 3/4 inches.
- McDowell ran the 400-meter dash in 50.58 seconds to place 11th in a field of 47 runners.
- Posting season-best performances were:
- Sam Arce in the 800-meter run (2:14.89)
- Jordon Brown in the 200-meter dash (:23.21)
- Jaden Costa in the mile run (4:58.98)
- John C Downey in the 200-meter dash (:25.90)
- Zac Liddle in the shot put (30'6.25")
- Robert Luginbuhl in the 60-meter dash (:7.90) and 200-meter dash (:26.57)
- Denver Orlando in the pole vault (13'9.75")
- Byron Pearce in the weight throw (37'9.25")
- Ben Schmidt in the 3000-meter run (9:18.62)
- Zac Schneck in the 400-meter run (53.56)
- To qualify for a season-best mark, the student-athlete must have competed in the event in at least one other meet this season.
- Sophomore Kaylee Richardson ran the 3000-meter run in a personal-best time of 11:32.54.
- Sophomore Madison Dexter had a lifetime-best time of 28.81 seconds in the 200-meter run.
- Season-best performances were by:
- Lillian Albaugh in the weight throw (40'1/2")
- Gabby Jolliff in the pole vault (8'6.25")
- Taylor Thelen in the 800-meter run (3:09.54)
- The Comets are in action at the Hillsdale College "Wide Track Classic" next Friday and Saturday, Feb. 7-8.
