Playing at No. 1 singles, Luque Pradas had a 5-3 record in the Comets' eight MIAA matches. Her wins against Samantha Cyrus from Adrian (6-0, 6-2), Megan Davy from Saint Mary's (Ind.) Two of Luque Pradas losses were in three sets.
In addition, Luque Pradas teamed with sophomore Makenzie Borg to post a 4-4 MIAA record at No. 1 doubles. The duo beat teams from Adrian (8-5), Albion (8-2), Alma (8-5) and Kalamazoo (8-4). Two of the four defeats were by 8-5 scores.
"I am thrilled for Desi," said Olivet head coach Andrew DeBruyn. "She worked extremely hard to become a better player on- and off-the-court in her time at Olivet. Earning this honor is a big time accomplishment and great way to cap her collegiate tennis career."
Luque Pradas finished the season with an 11-5 overall record at No. 1 singles and 10-6 record at No. 1 doubles. The 11 singles wins are tied for the sixth-most in a season in school history, and the most by a player since 2011 when Giana Guerra and Caitlin LaValley both had 11 victories.
