Women’s tennis team closes out season with 8-1 loss at Kalamazoo

KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The Olivet College women's tennis team lost xxx to Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) foe Kalamazoo College today in its season-finale at Stowe Stadium.

Records: Olivet 5-11 overall, 1-7 MIAA; Kalamazoo 9-2 overall, 6-1 MIAA
- The Hornets won 2-of-3 doubles flights before winning all six singles flights for the 8-1 win.
- Sophomore Makenzie Borg and senior Desiree Luque Pradas picked-up Olivet's lone team point with an 8-4 win at No. 1 doubles.
- Luque Pradas lost a hard-fought match at No. 1 singles. After dropping the first set, 6-3, she bounced back to win the second set 7-5 to force the match tie-breaker, which she fell by a 10-7 score.
- Borg and Luque Pradas finish the season with a 10-6 record at the No. 1 doubles position. The 10 wins are the most by a doubles tandem in school history since 2011 when the duo of Caitlin LaValley and Kelsey Singer went 11-6. Overall, the 10 wins are the fourth-most in school history for a doubles team.
