Women’s tennis team beats Grace Christian, 8-1
BATTLE CREEK, Mich. – The Olivet College women’s tennis team won 8-1 over Grace Christian University today at the Minges Creek Athletic Club in Battle Creek. The Comets finish the non-conference portion of their schedule with a 4-4 record.

- Olivet won all three doubles flights and 5-of-6 singles flights, dropping only the No. 6 singles flight.
- The No. 1 doubles duo of sophomore Makenzie Borg and senior Desiree Luque Pradas coasted to an 8-1 win.
- The No. 2 doubles tandem of junior Emily Foulk and senior Julia Miklusicak, and No. 3 doubles duo of freshman Kiandra Marciniak and sophomore Ally Sears won identical 8-4 pro-sets.
- Luque Pradas posted a 6-1, 6-0 win at No. 1 singles.
- Foulk won 6-0, 6-4 at No. 2 singles.
- Borg did not lose any games in a 6-0, 6-0 victory at No. 3 singles.
- Miklusicak came-from-behind to win her No. 4 singles match. After losing the first set, 6-4, she won the second set 6-1 to force a match-tiebreaker, which she won 10-5.
- Sears registered a 6-0, 6-2 win at No. 5 singles.
- Since joining the team at the semester break, Sears has posted a 5-0 record in singles play.
- Luque Pradas has a 6-2 record in singles. She and Borg have a 6-2 record in doubles.
- Borg has 4-4, with all four of her wins at the No. 3 singles slot.
- The Comets are off until next Saturday, March 27, when they open Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association play at Adrian College. First serves are set for 12 p.m.
