Women’s tennis team blanks Manchester, 9-0, for third straight win
BATTLE CREEK, Mich. – The Olivet College women’s tennis team beat Manchester (Ind.) University, 9-0, this afternoon inside the Minges Creek Athletic Club in Battle Creek. With the win, the Comets have now on three straight matches.

BATTLE CREEK, Mich. – The Olivet College women's tennis team beat Manchester (Ind.) University, 9-0, this afternoon inside the Minges Creek Athletic Club in Battle Creek. With the win, the Comets have now on three straight matches.

- The Comets lost only seven total games in doubles play, winning all three pro-sets.
- Olivet won five of the six singles flights in straight sets. In those five flights, the Comets dropped only eight total games.
- In doubles, the No. 1 duo of sophomore Makenzie Borg and senior Desiree Luque Pradas, and No. 3 duo of freshman Kiandra Marciniak and sophomore Ally Sears won by identical 8-1 scores.
- The No. 2 duo of junior Emily Foulk and senior Julia Miklusicak rallied for an 8-5 win.
- Luque Pradas, Foulk and Sears all won by matching 6-1, 6-0 scores at No. 1, 2 and 5 singles.
- Borg did not lose any games in a 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 3 singles.
- Marciniak earned a 6-4, 6-1 victory at No. 6 singles.
- Miklusicak won her first set 6-4 before her opponent claimed a 6-1 win in the second set. Miklusicak won the match-tiebreaker 10-5.
- The last time Olivet defeated an opponent 9-0 won was September 16, 2017, at Defiance (Ohio) College.
- Olivet last won three straight matches was during the 2017-18 season. The aforementioned match against Defiance was the middle match of the streak.
