BATTLE CREEK, Mich. – The Olivet College women's tennis team lost 6-3 to Cornerstone University in its spring-opener today at the Minges Creek Athletic Club in Battle Creek.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Golden Eagles won two-of-three doubles flights and four-of-six singles flights.
FOR THE COMETS
- The No. 1 doubles team of junior Rachael Hager and sophomore Miranda Pier rallied from a 5-2 deficit to win an 8-6 pro-set.
- Hager won in straight sets, 7-5, 6-3 at No. 1 singles.
- Junior Rae Claramunt swept her opponent at No. 3 singles, 6-3, 7-5.
- Freshman Nicole Losey lost an exciting match at No. 5 singles. After losing the first set, 6-2, she won the second set 6-4. In the match tiebreaker, she was down 9-3 and battled back to make the score 9-8 before losing 10-8.
