Swimming: Olivet participates in 800 freestyle relay at 2024 MIAA Championship

HOLLAND, Mich. – The University of Olivet men's and women's swimming teams began competition tonight at the 2024 Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Championship inside the Holland Aquatic Center. Tonight's only final was the 800-yard freestyle relay.
- The team of senior Jennifer Mann, sophomore Bridgette Shroll, freshman Sophia Spahr and sophomore Kelsee Lawson finished fourth among the A relays with a time of 8:14.25. Mann recorded a leadoff split time of 1:53.73, which ranks second all-time at Olivet.
- The team of junior Landon Morgan, junior Treyton Gabrielson, senior Dylan Lyons and junior Seth Kading was fifth among the A relays with a time of 7:19.29. Morgan led off with a 1:46.31 split.
- Day two of the MIAA Championship is tomorrow with preliminaries in the 500-yard freestyle, 200-yard individual medley and 50-yard freestyle, starting at 10 a.m. The finals in these events along with the 200-yard freestyle relay and 400-yard medley relay will get under way at 5 p.m.
