Women’s swimming & diving team is fifth at 2022 MIAA Championship
HOLLAND, Mich. – The Olivet College women’s swimming & diving team is in fifth-place after the third day of the 2022 Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Championship at the Holland Aquatic Center. The Comets have totaled 174 points, 15 more than sixth-place Alma College.

HOLLAND, Mich. – The Olivet College women's swimming & diving team is in fifth-place after the third day of the 2022 Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Championship at the Holland Aquatic Center. The Comets have totaled 174 points, 15 more than sixth-place Alma College.
- Senior Kayla Eichaker finished eighth in the 100-yard butterfly at a season-best time of 59.63 seconds and her fastest time in the event since her freshman season.
- Junior Sarah LaFoe and sophomore Erin Sanders and placed 12th (1:19.52) and 13th (1:26.91), respectively, in the 100-yard breaststroke. During the prelims, Sanders swam a personal-best time of 1:24.83.
- The 200-yard medley relay quartet of freshman Ann Bourff, sophomore Jennifer Mann, Eichaker and junior Kennedy Karns scored sixth-place points with a time of 1:56.38.
- In the 100-yard butterfly prelims, Sanders posted a personal-best time of 1:18.05 and sophomore Kennedy Karns achieved a season-best time of 1:07.46.
- Other season-best performances in the preliminaries were turned in by sophomore Karley Wheeler in the 200-yard freestyle (2:37.65), and freshmen Ann Bourff in the 100-yard backstroke (1:09.88) and Jordan Kruskie in the 100-yard backstroke (1:12.00).
- The fourth and last day of the MIAA Championship takes place tomorrow. Preliminaries in the 200-yard backstroke, 100-yard freestyle, 200-yard breaststroke and 200-yard backstroke are set to start at 10 a.m. The finals in those events, as well as the final heat of the 1,650-yard freestyle, and the 400-yard freestyle relay are scheduled to begin at 5 p.m.
