Swimming & diving teams fall to Albion in dual meet finale
OLIVET, Mich. – The Olivet College men’s and women’s swimming & diving team closed out the dual meet portion of its schedule against Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) rival Albion College today inside the Upton Center Pool. The Comet women lost 188-68 and the Olivet men fell 210-63.

OLIVET, Mich. – The Olivet College men's and women's swimming & diving team closed out the dual meet portion of its schedule against Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) rival Albion College today inside the Upton Center Pool. The Comet women lost 188-68 and the Olivet men fell 210-63.
FOR THE COMET WOMEN
- The 400-yard freestyle relay team of sophomore Jennifer Mann, sophomore Kinsley Noel, freshman Ann Bourff and senior Kaya Eichaker touched first in 3:52.05.
- Mann captured first-place in the 100-butterfly (1:00.27) and was second in the 100-yard backstroke (1:06.63).
- Swimming in the Upton Center Pool for a final time, Eichaker was second in the 50-yard butterfly (27.50).
FOR THE COMET MEN
- Freshman Seth Kading won the 50-yard freestyle (23.11).
- Junior Jacob Ritter took second-place in the 100-yard butterfly (54.77) and 200-yard individual medley (2:04.81).
- Freshman Landon Morgan placed second in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:04.81), losing the race by 5/100th of a second. He was also second in the 200-yard freestyle (1:51.71).
- Freshman Gavin Sutton scored 237.95 points on the one-meter diving board and 254.40 points on the three-meter diving board to finish second in both events.
- Senior Thomas Krug clocked-in second in the 100-yard freestyle (1:04.37).
UP NEXT
- The Comets return to the Wednesday-Saturday, February 16-19, at the 2022 MIAA Championship. Hope College is hosting the championship at the Holland Aquatic Center.
