COLORADO SPRING, Colo. – Olivet College's Jennifer Mann has earned 2021 College Swimming Coaches Association of America Individual Scholar All-American honors. The award recognizes student-athletes who achieved a 3.50 or higher grade point average and achieved an NCAA Championships qualifying cut. Due to the cancellation of the NCAA Division III Championships, the CSCAA established time standards for qualification based on a standard deviation of previous national championship participation.
A biology major, Mann took first-place in the 1,650-yard freestyle, second-place in the 200-yard breaststroke and third-place in the 500-yard freestyle at the 2021 Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Swimming & Diving Championships. She broke the school record in the 200 breaststroke in the preliminaries with a time of 2:22.33, while her finals times in the two freestyle events (5:09.23 in the 500 and 17:38.36 in 1,650) rank second-fastest in school history. For Mann's performance, she was named to the 2021 All-MIAA Team and was selected to the CSCAA All-American Team in the 200-yard breaststroke.
Mann is the second women's swimmer in school history to earn CSCAA Individual Scholar All-American honors. The other was Caitlin Lohr in 2010.
