COLORADO SPRING, Colo. – Olivet College's Jennifer Mann has been named to the 2021 College Swimming Coaches Association of America All-American Second Team in the 200-yard breaststroke. Due to the cancellation of their respective national championships, selection procedures were adjusted for the season. Swimming selections were made on the basis of verified performances in bona-fide competition submitted by their respective coaches.
At the 2021 Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Swimming & Diving Championships, Mann broke the school record in the 200 breaststroke preliminaries with a time of 2:22.33. She placed second during the evening finals in the event. Also at the championships, Mann won the 1,650-yard freestyle and third in the 500-yard freestyle. Her finals times in the two events (5:09.23 in the 500 and 17:38.36 in 1,650) rank second-fastest in school history.
"We are so excited for Jennifer," said Olivet head swimming & diving coach Rob Brownell. "She is one of the hardest workers in the pool, and this honor is well-deserved. She is a testament of what we are trying to build here at Olivet College, and we could not be more proud of her."
Mann is just the second women's swimmer in school history to earn All-American honors. The other was Jill Lingbeek in 2005 and 2006.
