Swimming & diving teams lose to Albion
ALBION, Mich. – The Olivet College men’s and women’s swimming & diving teams lost 156-73 and 163-57 to Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) rival Albion College this evening at the Dean Aquatic Center.

ALBION, Mich. – The Olivet College men's and women's swimming & diving teams lost 156-73 and 163-57 to Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) rival Albion College this evening at the Dean Aquatic Center.
- Senior Abbie Slater took first-place on both diving boards, totaling 199.90 points on the one-meter and 176.25 points on the three-meter.
- Senior Amelia Tomalka swam a season-best time of 27.87 seconds in the 50-yard freestyle.
- Senior Eric Wood won the 200-yard individual medley. His time of 2:02.83 was just 0.10 seconds faster than the runner-up swimmer.
- Senior Zach Meharg finished second in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:04.74).
- Freshman Sebastian O'Leary placed second in the distance freestyle events, stopping the clock at 11:02.10 in the 1,000 and 5:17.99 in the 500.
- Freshman Takato Timmerman touched the wall second in the 50-yard freestyle (:22.54).
- Senior Dalton Miner was second on the one-meter diving board with 211.40 points.
- Olivet returns to the pool tomorrow for a triple dual meet at Manchester (Ind.) University. The Comets face the host Spartans as well as Anderson (Ind.) University and Urbana (Ohio) University. The meet at the Strauss-Peabody Aquatic Center gets started at 1 p.m.
