Swimming & diving teams end dual meet season with setbacks to Albion
The Olivet College men's and women's swimming & diving teams closed out the dual meet portion of their Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) schedules with losses to Albion College today at the Upton Center Pool in Olivet. The Comet men lost 170-67 and the women fell 170-60.

OLIVET, Mich. – The Olivet College men's and women's swimming & diving teams closed out the dual meet portion of their Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) schedules with losses to Albion College today at the Upton Center Pool in Olivet. The Comet men lost 170-67 and the women fell 170-60.

- Freshman Cade Erickson won the 1000-yard freestyle with a time of 10:26.22.
- Junior Zach Meharg touched the wall first in the 400-yard individual medley with a time of 4:42.41.
- Junior Tom Decker took second 50-yard backstroke in 31.94 seconds.
- Sophomore Kolton Epplett was second in the 200-yard backstroke with a time of 2:27.25.
- Junior Dalton Miner scored second-place points on both diving boards, recording 269.65 points on the one-meter and 163.75 points on the three-meter.
- Senior Bryan Plesner finished second in the 200-yard butterfly with a time of 2:06.16.
- Junior Eric Wood placed second in the 50-yard breaststroke in 30.12 seconds.
- Freshman Kayla Eichaker claimed first-place in the 400-yard individual medley with a time of 5:05.66. She also had a second-place time of 36.34 seconds in the 50-yard breaststroke.
- Junior Abbie Slater swept the diving competition. She had 179.05 points on the one-meter and 162.85 points on the three-meter.
- Senior Sabrina Butler was second in the 200-yard butterfly with a time of 2:47.31.
- Senior Delaney Graham finished second in 100-yard freestyle with a time of 59.85 seconds.
- Sophomore Amelia Tomalka placed second in the 200-yard backstroke with a time of 2:30.21.
- Olivet will now prepare for the 2019 MIAA Swimming & Diving Championships Feb. 20-23 at the Holland Aquatic Center.
