Women’s swimming & diving team splits double dual against Anderson and Manchester
The Olivet College women’s swimming & diving team split a non-conference double dual against Anderson (Ind.) and Manchester (Ind.) this afternoon at the Upton Center Pool in Olivet. The Comets beat Manchester 175-36 but fell to Anderson 149-115.

OLIVET, Mich. – The Olivet College women's swimming & diving team split a non-conference double dual against Anderson (Ind.) and Manchester (Ind.) this afternoon at the Upton Center Pool in Olivet. The Comets beat Manchester 175-36 but fell to Anderson 149-115.
- Women – Olivet def. Manchester, 175-36; Anderson def. Olivet, 149-155
- Senior Sabrina Butler won all three of her individual events – 50-yard freestyle (:26.91), 100-yard freestyle (:58.78) and 50-yard butterfly (:29.50).
- Freshman Kayla Eichaker finished in the 200-yard freestyle (2:053.32) and 100-yard butterfly (1:03.74).
- Butler and Eichaker teamed with sophomore Ally Smith and Amelia Tomalka for a first-place time of 1:40.44 in the 200-yard freestyle relay.
- Junior Abbie Slater took first on both diving boards. She scored 188.20 points on the one-meter and a personal-best 206.80 points on the three-meter.
- Second-place swims were turned in by senior Samantha Butler in the 50-yard backstroke (:32.39) and senior Delaney Graham in the 100-yard individual medley (1:08.64).
- Olivet welcomes Albion College to the Upton Center Pool for a MIAA dual meet next Saturday, Feb. 9. Action starts at 11 a.m.
