Swimming & diving teams suffer losses to Kalamazoo
The Olivet College men’s and women’s swimming & diving teams suffered losses to Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association rival Kalamazoo College tonight at the Upton Center Pool in Olivet. The Comet men lost 150-82 to the Hornets, and the women dropped a 192.5-36.5 decision.

OLIVET, Mich. – The Olivet College men's and women's swimming & diving teams suffered losses to Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) rival Kalamazoo College tonight at the Upton Center Pool in Olivet. The Comet men lost 150-82 to the Hornets, and the women dropped a 192.5-36.5 decision.

- Junior Eric Wood took first-place in the 50 freestyle in 22.02 seconds and the 500-yard freestyle at 4:54.00.
- Junior Dalton Miner was first on the one-meter diving board (262.30 points) and three-meter diving board (205.70 points).
- Freshman Zachary Knott touched the wall first in the 200-yard breaststroke with a time of 2:17.39.
- Freshman Cade Erickson finished second in the 1,650-yard freestyle with a time of 17:45.16.
- Senior Samantha Butler placed second in the 200-yard backstroke with a time of 2:29.19.
- Freshman Kayla Eichaker was second in the 50-yard freestyle in 25.60 seconds, and tied for third in the 200-yard backstroke (2:29.48).
- Junior Abbie Slater posted a career-best 201.30 points on the one-meter diving board.
- Olivet hosts Anderson (Ind.) University and Manchester (Ind.) University for a non-conference double dual meet tomorrow. Action starts at 1 p.m.
