Courtney Mich (Bay City/Western) was the lone double winner for the Comets. She was first in both diving competitions with a score of 194.0 on the one-meter and 188.85 on the three-meter. Also finishing in first-place was Sarah Boyd (Napoleon, Ohio) in the 1,000-yard freestyle with a time of 11:43.65.
Erin Tramper (Jenison) took second-place in both breaststroke events. Her times were 1:12.06 in the 100 and 2:36.30 in the 200. Other runner-up finishes were by Laura Herzog (St. Joseph), 500-yard freestyle (5:37.84); Jackie Taylor (Plainwell), 100-yard backstroke (1:03.31); and 200-yard medley relay (1:55.74). Swimming on the relay were Taylor, Amy Johnson (Gaylord), Kalee Redder (Grandville/Jenison) and Carrie Schroeder (Marshall).
Johnson was third in the 100- and 200-yard freestyle. With a time of :54.84 in the 100, she missed runner-up honors by .05 seconds. Johnson's time in the 200 was 2:04.19.
Olivet is back in action Friday, Nov. 3, when it hosts Calvin College at 6 p.m.
