Women's swimming and diving team finishes in fourth-place at 2007 MIAA Championships
The Olivet College women's swimming and diving team finished in fourth-place at the 2007 Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Championships. The Comets had 254 points, which was only 36 points behind third-place Kalamazoo College. Calvin College won the championship with 675.5 points, followed by Hope College with 493.5 points.

Swimming in her final collegiate individual event, Laura Herzog (St. Joseph) was fifth in the 1,650-yard freestyle. Her time of 18:15.50 broke the school record by more than 20 seconds. Sarah Boyd (Napoleon, Ohio) placed eighth in the 1,650 free (18:36.05).
In the 200-yard backstroke, Jackie Taylor (Plainwell) came in fifth-place in 2:13.15, while Ashley Oliver (Ironwood) captured first-place in the consolation final (2:15.39). In the 100-yard freestyle, Amy Johnson (Gaylord) tied for fourth-place as she lowered her own school record to 53.28 seconds. Kalee Redder (Grandville/Jenison) had a time of 54.15 seconds to place ninth in the 100 free.
Erin Tramper (Jenison) and Lauren Siedlik (Livonia/Churchill) swam in the consolation finals of the 200-yard breaststroke. Tramper placed eighth in 2:33.38, while Siedlik was 11th in 2:37.03. In the 200-yard butterfly, Rachel Tunison (Erie/Mason) had a time of 2:33.36 to place 12th.
Courtney Mich (Bay City/Western) scored 372.05 points in the one-meter dive to finish in sixth-place. The 400-yard freestyle relay team of Herzog, Johnson, Redder and Carrie Schroeder (Marshall) came in third-place with a school-record time of 3:36.20.
