ALBION, Mich. – Freshman Ella McCormic scored the tying goal with just under seven minutes left to help The University of Olivet women's soccer team tie Albion College, 1-1, in a Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association game this afternoon at the Davis Athletic Complex.

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • The Britons took a 1-0 lead in the 41st minute when a shot by Avery Kasanic found the back of the net.
  • The score stayed 1-0 until the 84th minute. An Albion defender failed to clear the ball. McCormic gathered the loose ball, took four touches and sent a shot from 22 yards out into the goal at the near post.

FOR THE COMETS

  • Olivet tallied just three shots, including two for McCormic.
  • Senior goalkeeper Sarah Willard played the entire game in goal and had four saves.
