Women’s soccer team ties Muskingum, 2-2
NEW CONCORD, Ohio – The Olivet College women’s soccer team scored an early goal and a late goal to settle for a 2-2 tie against Muskingum (Ohio) University at the North Athletic Turf Field in New Concord, Ohio.

NEW CONCORD, Ohio – The Olivet College women's soccer team scored an early goal and a late goal to settle for a 2-2 tie against Muskingum (Ohio) University at the North Athletic Turf Field in New Concord, Ohio.

- The Comets scored its first goal just one minute and 52 seconds into the game. Sophomore Elisabeth Perez Pablo played a ball to the feet of senior Macy Gorrell who sent a shot past the keeper and into the goal.
- Muskingum leveled the score in the 38th minute on a shot from 30 yards out.
- There was no more scoring in the first half to keep the score deadlocked 1-1 at halftime.
- The Fighting Muskies took a 2-1 lead in the 53rd minute when a low shot went into the net at the far post.
- Playing with a sense of urgency in the final minutes, Olivet scored the equalizer with around three minutes left in the contest. Sophomore Katelyn White passed the ball from the left side of the field to the middle of box, where senior Mary Mitchell chipped the ball over a charging keeper's head and into the goal.
- Neither team scored in the final two minutes and 40 seconds to maintain the 2-2 score. The NCAA announced all regular season college soccer games will end after 90 minutes and overtime will only be played in postseason games.
- For the game, Mitchell tallied five shots, with three being placed on-goal.
- Five other players each had one.
- Sophomore Sarah Willard played the entire game in goal. She made five saves, while facing 15 shots.
- Brittany Herrick and Jillian Laposky scored the goals, while Hannah Ritchie was credited with an assist.
- Morgan Meisel recorded five shots.
- Emily Keylor and Marysa Starcher tallied three shots apiece.
- Kelly Buck was in goal for all 90 minutes and had four saves.
- Olivet travels to play Bluffton (Ohio) University Wednesday afternoon at 3 p.m. The game is a part of a soccer doubleheader, as the Comet men will also play Bluffton immediately following the women's game.
