Women’s soccer team falls to Alma, 3-1
The Olivet College women’s soccer team was defeated by Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) rival Alma College, 3-1, this at the Cutler Athletic Complex in Olivet.

The Olivet College women's soccer team was defeated by Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) rival Alma College, 3-1, this at the Cutler Athletic Complex in Olivet.
Olivet jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the 20th minute when freshman Lizzy Julian (Mattawan) scored her team-leading 14th goal of the season. Julian found the back of the net with a hard shot from five yards out, with sophomore Katie Koralewski (Sterling Heights/Stevenson) receiving credit for an assist on the goal.
The Scots took a 2-1 lead with a pair of goals, spanning just over two minutes on the clock. The first one came at the 37:45 mark, and the second one came at the 39:56 mark. Alma closed the scoring with a goal in the 76th minute.
Offensively, the Comets finished with a 20-14 advantage in shots, including a 13-8 edge in shots-on-goal. Julian led the way with five shots, followed by Koralewski and senior Kellie O'Dowd (Jackson) with three apiece. In goal, sophomore Sarah Westen (Grand Ledge) made five saves.
Olivet will play its final two regular season games on the road, beginning next Saturday at Albion College. Game time at Alumni Field in Albion is noon.
