Women’s soccer team loses to Wittenberg, 3-0
The Olivet College women’s soccer team finished its swing through Ohio with a 3-0 loss to Wittenberg University this afternoon at Edwards-Maurer Field in Springfield, Ohio.

The Olivet College women's soccer team finished its swing through Ohio with a 3-0 loss to Wittenberg University this afternoon at Edwards-Maurer Field in Springfield, Ohio.
The nationally-ranked Tigers jumped out to a 1-0 lead with a goal in the fifth minute of play. They added another goal in the 16th minute to take a 2-0 halftime lead. Wittenberg closed the scoring with an unassisted goal in the 55th minute.
Sophomore Megan Colby (Cedar Spring) played the first half in goal and made four saves. Sophomore Sarah Westen (Grand Ledge) was the keeper in the second half and collected two saves.
Olivet (1-1) will head back to Ohio next Friday and Saturday, Sept. 5-6 to participate in the John Carroll University Classic at Don Shula Stadium in University Heights. On Friday, the Comets will play Anderson (Ind.) University and on Saturday, they will play the host Blue Streaks. Both games will start at 2 p.m.
