The Olivet College women's soccer team suffered a heartbreaking 1-0 loss to John Carroll (Ohio) University today in Olivet.
The Blue Streaks scored the goal just 3:37 into the second half. Olivet had seven shots in the game, including three by junior Natalie Lopez (Holland/West Ottawa). In goal, freshman Sarah Westen (Grand Ledge) faced eight shots and made six saves.
The Comets (3-1) look to bounce from their first loss of the season Tuesday, Sept. 11, when they travel to play Heidelberg (Ohio) College at 4 p.m.
