The Olivet College women's soccer team was shutout by Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) foe Hope College, 2-0, today at Buys Athletic Field in Holland.
The Flying Dutch (6-6-2, 3-2-1 MIAA) scored a goal in each half. The Comets (4-8-2, 1-3-2 MIAA) were limited to eight shots, including two each by Ashley Barron (Montrose/Hill McCloy) and Cori Barrera (East Lansing). In goal, freshman Shane Brady (Battle Creek/Central) faced 16 shots and made five saves.
Olivet will play its final two regular season games at home, beginning Saturday against Tri-State (Ind.) University at noon. Next Wednesday, Oct. 25, the Comets conclude the regular season with a 4 p.m. game against Calvin College.
