Stickney named MIAA Offensive Player of the Week
Olivet College junior Stacey Stickney (St. Joseph) has been named the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Offensive Player of the Week for women’s soccer. She is being honored for the second time this season, as she was named the MIAA Defensive Player of the Week two weeks ago.

Olivet College junior Stacey Stickney (St. Joseph) has been named the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Offensive Player of the Week for women's soccer. She is being honored for the second time this season, as she was named the MIAA Defensive Player of the Week two weeks ago.
Stickney and the Comets (4-6, 4-4 MIAA) split two MIAA games last week, a 2-1 loss Sept. 28 at Albion College and a 1-0 win Oct. 1 at Alma College. Against Albion, she was credited with an assist on Olivet's goal and against Alma, she scored the only goal. For the season, Stickney ranks second on the team with seven points (three goals and one assist).
The Comets are next in action Saturday, Oct. 8, when they play at Adrian College at noon.
