The Olivet College women’s soccer team fell to Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) rival Albion College, 2-1, this afternoon at Alumni Field in Albion.

The Olivet College women's soccer team fell to Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) rival Albion College, 2-1, this afternoon at Alumni Field in Albion.
The Britons (3-4, 3-2 MIAA) led 2-0 at halftime behind goals in the 29th and 41st minute. The Comets (3-6, 3-4 MIAA) made the score 2-1 at the 80:09 mark. From the left side of the goal, freshman Katie Wolf (Marshall) crossed the ball to junior Stacey Stickney (St. Joseph). Stickney passed the ball back to the left side where sophomore Shannah Fisher (Delton-Kellogg) headed the ball into the net.
For the game, Olivet out-shot Albion, 14-8. Both teams had eight shots-on-goal. Freshman Megan Reardon (Macomb/ Chippewa Valley) led the Comets with six shots, including four on-goal. Fisher collected four shots. In goal, sophomore Bre Bath-Simonsen (Mason) played all 90 minutes, making six saves.
Olivet returns to action Saturday, Oct. 1, when it plays at Alma College at noon.
