The Olivet College women’s soccer team was shutout by Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) foe Hope College, 3-0, today in Olivet.

The Olivet College women's soccer team was shutout by Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) foe Hope College, 3-0, today in Olivet.
The Flying Dutch (7-1, 5-0 MIAA) led 2-0 at halftime behind a goal at the 6:38 mark and another goal with 3:38 left before halftime. Hope's last goal came in the 67th minute.
The Comets (3-5, 3-3 MIAA) were out-shot 20-7. Freshman Cori Barrera (East Lansing) took a team-high four shots. Sophomore goalkeeper Bre Bath-Simonsen (Mason) played the entire game in goal and made nine saves.
Olivet is on the road for its next three games beginning Wednesday, Sept. 28, when it plays MIAA rival Albion College at 3:30 p.m.
