Women’s soccer team loses to Saint Mary’s, 2-1
The Olivet College women’s soccer team fell to Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) foe Saint Mary’s (Ind.) College, 2-1, this afternoon in Notre Dame, Ind. The loss ended the Comets’ three-game winning streak.

The Olivet College women's soccer team fell to Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) foe Saint Mary's (Ind.) College, 2-1, this afternoon in Notre Dame, Ind. The loss ended the Comets' three-game winning streak.
Olivet (3-4, 3-2 MIAA) led 1-0 at halftime as freshman Kellie O'Dowd (Jackson) scored the goal in the 24th minute. The Belles (4-3, 3-1 MIAA) tied the game in the 54th minute and tallied the game-winning goal in the 61st minute.
Saint Mary's out-shot the Comets, 23-10. Junior Stacey Stickney (St. Joseph) registered three shots for Olivet. Sophomore Bre Bath-Simonsen (Mason) started in goal and made 14 saves. Junior Kristin Dickinson (Cadillac) also played in goal, facing four shots.
Olivet is next in action Saturday, Sept. 24, when it hosts Hope College at noon.
