Women's soccer team falls to Calvin, 3-0

The Olivet College women's soccer team fell to Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) foe Calvin College, 3-0, today in Grand Rapids.

The Knights (10-4-1, 9-1-1 MIAA) jumped out to a 3-0 halftime lead and never looked back. Their first goal came in the 19th minute with another just under two minutes later. The final goal was scored at the 38:22 mark.

The Lady Comets (5-9-0, 3-7-0 MIAA) managed just three shots. In goal, sophomore Gretchen Ford (Harbor Springs High School) faced 27 shots and made 11 saves.

Olivet will next play Tuesday, Oct. 19, when it hosts Tri-State (Ind.) University at 4 p.m.
