The Olivet College women's soccer team fell to Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) rival Albion College, 6-0, this afternoon in Olivet.
The Britons (5-6-1, 5-2-1 MIAA) outshot the Lady Comets (5-7-0, 3-5-0 MIAA), 34-9, including a 22-3 edge in shots on goal. Sophomore forward Stacey Stickney (St. Joseph High School) was credited with a team-best four shots.
In goal, junior Gretchen Ford (Harbor Springs High School) played the first half, facing 15 shots while making four saves. During the second half, freshman goalie Breanna Simonsen (Mason High School) saw action for the first time this season and made 12 saves.
Olivet is idle until next Wednesday, Oct. 13, when it hosts Hope College at 4 p.m. This contest starts the second half of the Comets' 2004 MIAA schedule.
