Women's soccer team drops 3-0 decision against Otterbein (Ohio) College
The Olivet College women's soccer team dropped a 3-0 decision against Otterbein (Ohio) College this afternoon in the second game of the Albion/Olivet College Athlete's Connection Soccer Classic.
The Olivet College women's soccer team dropped a 3-0 decision against Otterbein (Ohio) College this afternoon in the second game of the Albion/Olivet College Athlete's Connection Soccer Classic. The Lady Comets hosted both games of the tournament today with Manchester (Ind.) College edging Albion, 2-1, in the first game.
For her efforts in the tournament, Olivet freshman Natalie Lopez (Holland/West Ottawa High School) was named to the all-tournament team. Against Otterbein, junior goalkeeper Gretchen Ford (Harbor Springs High School) played the entire game. She faced 39 shots and made 19 saves.
The Comets return to the field on Wednesday, Sept. 15, when they open Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association play against Hope College at 4 p.m.
Manchester is tournament champion due to better goal differential.
