Wrestling: Olivet posts 14-3 record against Henry Ford

OLIVET, Mich. – The University of Olivet wrestling team finished with a 14-3 record against Henry Ford College in a series of exhibition matches today inside the Cutler Event Center.
- Team scores were not kept for the match.
- The Comets won 14 of the 17 contested exhibition matches.
- Olivet scored bonus points in 12 of the 14 wins, including eight pins, three technical falls and one major decision.
- At 174 pounds, freshman Roderic Yelding won twice by fall – pinning Colin Kattula in 4:33 and Elan Rush in 2:54.
- Also, at 174 pounds, freshman Hayden Koehler had two wins – pinning Kattula in 4:09 and winning a 9-1 major decision over Rush.
- At 197 pounds, junior Kody Krupp went 2-0, as he pinned Jake Navarro in 4:42 and won an 18-3 technical fall in 5:20 over Wyatt Marentette.
- At 133 pounds, junior Thomas Lear had the quickest pin of the day at 1:00 over Daniel Benenson.
- The remaining pins were all in the first period by sophomore Isaiah Mullins at 125 pounds (2:21), freshman Kyan Larson at 165 pounds (2:40) and freshman Branson Goodman at 197 pounds (1:36).
- Also, picking-up technical fall victories were sophomore Emilio Cabrera at 133 pounds (17-0) and freshman Kamden Hood at 157 pounds (18-3).
- At 165 pounds, senior Gabe Guerrero rallied from a 9-2 deficit to post a 14-9 win.
- At 285 pounds, freshman Landen Roe scored a takedown in the first period and hung for a 4-0 win.
- The Comets host Alma College Thursday in their first Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association dual match, starting at 7 p.m.
