Wrestling team posts 14-2 combined record against Cleary and Henry Ford
OLIVET, Mich. – The Olivet College wrestling hosted Cleary University and Henry Ford College tonight inside the Cutler Event Center. Due to the visiting schools having small squads, the coaches decided to not to keep team scores. Instead, 19 individual matches took place.

Olivet posted a 14-2 record, while Henry Ford went 4-12 and Cleary had a 1-5 record. The Comets' 14 wins consisted of four pins, four technical falls, three major decisions and three minor decisions. Olivet's two losses were minor decisions, with one being in overtime.
At 125 pounds, freshman Isaiah Mullins won his two matches by a 19-2 technical fall and 5:19 pin. Also, at 125 pounds, freshman Damorian Draper had two wins, 14-8 and 5-2.
At 133 pounds, freshman Emilio Cabrera won two major decisions, 12- and 13-2. At 141 pounds, sophomore Robert Davids had a fall 56 seconds into the second period.
At 149 pounds, freshman Darren McLeod posted two first-period 18-2 technical fall victories, one at 2:33 and the other at 2:49. Also, at 149 pounds, sophomore Jay Shaull pinned his opponent at 1:10.
At 165 pounds, freshman Jonathen Davis earned a 17-0 technical fall, while senior Zach Potter claimed a 12-2 decision.
At 174 pounds, sophomore Dylan Kuschel eked out a 6-2 win. At 285 pounds, sophomore Boe Eckman recorded a fall at 4:22.
The Comets are back in action next Saturday, December 17, at the "Gator" Boots Duals in Nashville, Tennessee.
