King qualifies for NCAA Division III Championship, wrestling team finishes fifth at NCAA DIII Central Regional
ADRIAN, Mich. – Led by sophomore Donovan King, the Olivet College wrestling team finished fifth of 20 schools at the 2022 NCAA Division III Central Regional, hosted by Adrian College and at the Merillat Sport & Fitness Center. King was the runner-up finisher in the 285-pound bracket to punch his ticket to the 2022 NCAA Division III Championship.

- The Comets had six wrestlers finish in the top eight of their respective weight. In addition to King's second-place finish, senior Dylan Briggs and junior Owen Guilford were fourth, senior Reese Wallis placed fifth, freshman Ramiro Guerrero was sixth and sophomore Dylan Phelps finished eighth.
- King posted a 3-1 record over the two days of the regional tournament. His lone was a 2-1 decision to top-seed Max Bishop from Wabash in the championship bout. The difference in the match was a penalty point given to Bishop.
- Olivet had 89.5 points, which was just one point more than sixth-place University of Mount Union (Ohio). Wabash (Ind.) College captured the regional title with 168.5 points. Baldwin Wallace (Ohio) University was second with 145.5 points, followed by John Carroll (Ohio) University in third with 141.0 points and Ohio Northern University in fourth with 117.5 points.
