The Britons put the first eight goals on the scoreboard before junior Cara VanDam (Grand Rapids/City) scored the first goal in Olivet history. After Albion added another goal, Maidens scored her first goal to make the score 9-2 at halftime.
Maidens then scored the first two goals of the second half to trim the Comets deficit down to five goals, 9-4. The Britons increased their lead to 13-4 before sophomore Sara Keys (Chesaning/Union) found the back of the net.
