LaMothe shoots career-low 79 at Kyle Campbell Memorial

MARSHALL, Mich. –The University of Olivet women's golf team was 14th at its home tournament, the 2024 Kyle Campbell Memorial. The two-day, 36-hole tournament was at The Medalist Golf Club in Marshall.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Comets carded a two-day score of 744 strokes.
- Trine (Ind.) University claimed the team title with a two-round total of 629 strokes.
- Jocelyn Troyer from University of Mount Union (Ohio) was the individual medalist with a 151 (73-78).
FOR THE COMETS
- Junior Ella LaMothe had Olivet's low score with a 161. She matched her career-best score with an 82 in Friday's first before shooting three shots better in Saturday's round for a new career-best with a 79.
- Freshman Madison Cowhy carded back-to-back 93s for a 186.
- Sophomore Sedona Bonter tallied a 199 (96-103).

- Olivet starts its Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association schedule next Thursday, September 14, at the first league jamboree. Hope College is the host school, and the jamboree is at Clearbrook Golf Club in Saugatuck.
