Women’s golf team takes eighth at MIAA Fall Finale

BATTLE CREEK, Mich. – The Olivet College women's golf team had an eighth-place performance at the 2022 Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Fall Finale at the Bedford Valley Country Club.

- Top OC Individual: Rylee Honsowitz (+30), 24 of 55
- After posting a 362 team in Friday's first round, the Comets dropped two strokes off their team score for a two-day total of 722 strokes.
- Adrian College bested Saint Mary's (Ind.) College by eight strokes, 657 to 655, to win the team title and secure the 2022 MIAA Championship. Hope College and Alma College tied for third with 675s.
- Olivia Ohmer from Adrian was the individual medalist with a 153 (73-80).
- Sophomore Rylee Honsowitz topped Olivet with a 174 (88-86).
- Junior Rayna Honsowitz was next at 176 (86-80).
- Freshman Ella LaMothe completed the two rounds in 186 (92-94) strokes.
- Senior Kiersen McDonough improved by 10 strokes in the second round, finishing with a 190 (100-90).
- Junior Jenna Otten rounded out the Comet lineup with a 196 (96-100).
