Four Olivet College golfers named to WGCA All-American Scholar Team
CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. – Four Olivet College women’s golfers – Kiersen McDonough, Logan McLane, Aynslee Myer and Rachel Webb – have been selected to the 2020-21 Women’s Golf Coaches Association All-American Scholar Team.
CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. – Four Olivet College women's golfers – Kiersen McDonough, Logan McLane, Aynslee Myer and Rachel Webb – have been selected to the 2020-21 Women's Golf Coaches Association All-American Scholar Team.
The criteria for selection is the most stringent in all of college athletics. The student-athlete's cumulative grade point average must be a 3.50 or higher and she must have also competed in 66 percent of the college's regularly scheduled competitive rounds. Olivet's four representatives were among the 1,432 women's collegiate golfers to be named to the team.
McDonough is making her first appearance on the WGCA All-American Scholar Team. She has played in 16 career rounds and is averaging 103.3 strokes. McDonough's best round was a 94 at the Knollwood Country Club (March 30, 2021) and Zollner Golf Course (September 16, 2020).
McLane is earning the honor for a third straight year. She has seen action in 40 total rounds with a 97.2 strokes average. McLane's low round was an 87 at the Knollwood Country Club (March 30, 2021) and Indian Mound Golf Course (March 18, 2019).
Myer is now a two-time WGCA Scholar All-American. She has posted a 90.3 career stroke average over 28 rounds. Myer's best score was an 82 at the Knollwood Country Club (March 30, 2021) and Bedford Valley Country Club (October 11, 2019).
Webb is also on the list for a third consecutive year. She is averaging 96.5 strokes over 43 career rounds for the Comets. Webb's lowest 18-hole score was an 82 at the Clearbrook Golf Club (April 6, 2021) and Duck Lake Country Club (April 13, 2021).
