The Olivet College women’s golf team placed third in the second round of the 2017 Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association playoff today at The Ravines Golf Course in Saugatuck.

SAUGATUCK, Mich. – The Olivet College women's golf team placed third in the second round of the 2017 Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association playoff today at The Ravines Golf Course in Saugatuck.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Comets posted a 335 team score.
- The host Flying Dutch took first-place with 326, followed by Saint Mary's (Ind.) College at 330. Trine (Ind.) University was fourth at 356.
- Taylor Kehoe from Saint Mary's was the medalist with a four-over par 76.
FOR THE COMETS
- Senior Laura Bacso led Olivet and was second in the player standings with a 79, including a tournament-best 37 on the back nine.
- Freshman Nicole Deweyert was next with an 82.
- Freshman Taylor Elley carded an 84.
- Freshman Molly Morey returned to the club house with a 90.
UP NEXT
- The final round of the playoff will be played tomorrow at The Ravines. The start time has been moved up to 11 a.m. because of rain in the forecast for the afternoon.
