Women’s golf team is third at second MIAA Jamboree
The Olivet College women’s golf team was third at the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Jamboree #2 today at the Knollwood Country Club in Granger, Indiana.

GRANGER, Ind. – The Olivet College women's golf team was third at the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Jamboree #2 today at the Knollwood Country Club in Granger, Indiana.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Olivet finished with a 339 team score.
- Saint Mary's used its home course to an advantage, edging Hope College by three strokes, 329-332, to win the jamboree. Trine (Ind.) University was 24 strokes behind the Comets at 363. Calvin College was fifth at 370, followed by Alma College, 373; Albion College, 383; and Adrian College, 389.
- Taylor Kehoe from Saint Mary's was the medalist with a five-over-par 77.
FOR THE COMETS
- Senior Laura Bacso shared fourth-place in the player standings with an 81. She had a tournament-best 11 pars.
- Freshman Nicole Deweyert was a stroke behind to with an 82 to tie for sixth.
- Freshman Ashley Folleth completed her round in 84 strokes to place ninth.
- Freshman Molly Morey carded a 92.
- Sophomore Hayley Cooper finished with a 97.
UP NEXT
- The Comets will participate in the third MIAA Jamboree next Tuesday, Sept. 27, at the Ravines Golf Course in Saugatuck.
