Women’s golf team finishes in second-place at O.C. Fall Invitational
The Olivet College women’s golf team finished in second-place at its own invitational, which was played yesterday and today at The Medalist Golf Club in Marshall. Olivet junior Amber Conrad (Battle Creek/Harper Creek) was the tournament medalist, as she totaled 151 strokes.

The Comets posted a two-round total of 659 (333-326) strokes to trail Hope College by just one stroke. Saint Francis (Ind.) was third at 672, followed by Wheaton (Ill.), 693; North Central (Ill.), 713; Trine (Ind.), 715; Aquinas, 721; Wittenberg (Ohio), 725; Carthage (Wis.), 730; Northwestern Ohio, 735; Albion, 756; Alma, 381; Kalamazoo, 792; Calvin, 797; and Adrian, 827.
Senior Megan Rimmel (Ithaca) joined Conrad on the all-tournament team with a 158. Sophomore Lauren Campbell (Fenton) totaled 170 strokes. Junior Abby Wheeler (Grayling) had back-to-back 90s for a 180.
The Comets will return to The Medalist next Thursday for the first Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association jamboree. Olivet has won the last three league championships.
