Women’s golf team places second at DePauw Small College Classic
The Olivet College women’s golf team moved into and finished in second-place (out of 13 schools) at the two-day DePauw University Small College Classic at the Deer Creek Golf Club in Clayton, Indiana.

The Comets stood in fourth-place after Saturday's first round with a 326 team score. In today's second round, Olivet shaved 12 strokes off its total for a two-round score of 640 strokes. Otterbein (Ohio) College captured the team title with a two-round total of 629 (321-308) strokes. The host Tigers were third with a 641 (320-321), followed by Allegheny (Pa.) College in fourth-place with a 644 (324-320).
Individually, senior Lindsay Pipkin (White Lake/Lakeland) tied for fourth in the player standings with a two-round total of 153 (77-76). Junior Katie Misko (Alma) placed eighth with a 160 (83-77). Junior Megan Rimmel (Ithaca) was one stroke behind with a 161 (84-77) to tie for ninth-place. Sophomore Amber Conrad (Battle Creek/Harper Creek) had a 166 (82-84). Freshman Lauren Campbell (Fenton) needed 179 (92-87) strokes to complete her rounds.
Sophomore Abby Wheeler (Grayling) and senior Trisha McKim (DeWitt) were individual scorers. Wheeler had a 176 (90-86), while McKim had a 177 (94-83).
The Comets will now turn their focus to the final three rounds of their Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) schedule. They will travel to Adrian to compete in the fourth jamboree Tuesday afternoon at the Lenawee Country Club. The final two championship rounds will take
