Conrad is medalist and women’s golf team captures team title at Anderson Invitational
Sophomore Amber Conrad (Battle Creek/Harper Creek) was the tournament medalist, as the Olivet College women’s golf team captured the team title at the Anderson (Ind.) University Invitational, which was played at the Killbuck Golf Club in Anderson, Indiana.

After posting a school-record 307 team score in Saturday's first round, Olivet had a 315 in today's round for a two-day total of 622 strokes. DePauw (Ind.) University, ranked No. 5 in the preseason coaches' poll, was second with a 630 (306-324). Individually, Conrad had rounds of 76 and 75 for a two-day total of 151 strokes. Senior Lindsay Pipkin (White Lake/Lakeland) was third in the player standings with a 154 (74-80).
Junior Megan Rimmel (Ithaca) carded a 158 (77-81). Freshman Lauren Campbell (Fenton) tallied a 160 (81-79), and junior Katie Misko (Alma) needed 168 strokes to complete her two rounds (80-88).
The Comets, ranked No. 11 in the preseason poll, will host their own tournament this Friday and Saturday at The Medalist Golf Club in Marshall. Friday's action for the 18-team field begins with a 2 p.m. shotgun start, while Saturday is an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start.
