ANGOLA, Ind. – The University of Olivet women's basketball team fell to Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) leader Trine (Ind.) University, 73-52, tonight inside the MTI Center. The Thunder are ranked No. 13 in this week's D3hoops.com Top 25 poll.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Thunder scored the first 10 points of the game before settling for a 25-8 lead at the end of the first quarter. Trine pushed its advantage to 28 points at the 5:49 mark of the second quarter. The Comets scored 11 of the final 14 points of the quarter to trail by 20 points, 39-19, at halftime.
- In the third quarter, Olivet closed the gap to 15 points, 50-35, with 2:27 remaining. Trine netted the final six points of the period to take a 56-35 lead to begin the fourth quarter. Both teams scored 17 points in the final period to result in Trine's 21-point victory.
FOR THE COMETS
- Sophomore Christina Malackanich scored a team-leading 13 points.
- Senior Lily Connelly joined her in double figures with 11 points. She also tallied six assists, two steals and one block.
- Sophomore Kaylee Bush had seven points.
- Sophomore Anna Honnen scored six points and grabbed a team-best six rebounds.
