Olivet defeated by Franklin, 90-54

FRANKLIN, Ind. – The University of Olivet women's basketball team fell to Franklin (Ind.) College, 90-54, in a non-conference game this evening at the Spurlock Center.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Following the Grizzlies taking an early 7-4 lead, the Comets made back-to-back baskets to gain their first lead of the game. Franklin used a 16-2 run for a 23-10 lead after the first quarter. Olivet cut its deficit down to single digits, 33-25, after sophomore Madalynn Terry canned two free throws with six minutes left in the second stanza. The Grizzlies outscored the Comets, 45-28, in the second half to post the 36-point margin of victory.
FOR THE COMETS
- Senior Lily Connelly posted a double-double, 18 points and 12 rebounds, to lead Olivet. She also had five assists, two blocks and three steals. With the five assists, Connelly moved into eighth all-time in school history with 194 career helpers.
- Junior Kinsley Hatfield contributed nine points.
- Terry and sophomore Anna Honnen each scored eight points.

- Olivet participates in the Hope College Tournament next Friday and Saturday, November 22-23, at the DeVos Fieldhouse. The Comets face Carroll (Wis.) University on Friday at 5 p.m., and Anderson (Ind.) University on Saturday at 2 p.m.
