Women’s basketball team downed by nationally-ranked Hope

- The Flying Dutch led 28-3 at the end of the first quarter, 45-13 at halftime and 71-23 at the conclusion of the third quarter.
- Freshman Kinsley Hatfield posted team-highs in points (10) and rebounds (five).
- Sophomore Courtney Balazs was next with five points.
- Junior Lily Connelly scored four points, grabbed four rebounds, dished out three assists and made three steals.
- Senior Rachel Swartz blocked three shots to raise her career total to 90. She currently sits fourth all-time at Olivet in blocks and needs seven to move into third all-time.
- Four players reached double figures in the scoring column.
- Clare Baguley and Savannah Feenstra netted 13 points apiece.
- Ella McKinney finished with 12 points.
- Sydney Vis provided 11 points off the bench.
- Three players – Feenstra, Vis and Karsen Kalblom – each pulled down five rebounds.
- The Comets travel to play Saint Mary's (Ind.) College next Wednesday, January 11. Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m.
