Women’s basketball team drops 88-42 decision to Albion
OLIVET, Mich. – The Olivet College women’s basketball team lost 88-42 to Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) rival Albion College this evening at the Cutler Event Center.

OLIVET, Mich. – The Olivet College women's basketball team lost 88-42 to Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) rival Albion College this evening at the Cutler Event Center.

- Records: Olivet 2-5 overall, 1-1 MIAA; Albion 6-1 overall, 2-0 MIAA
- After the Britons made a three-pointer to start the game, junior Lily Connelly drained a three-pointer to tie the game. Albion scored the next basket before Connelly banked in another off-balanced three-pointer as the shot clock expired to put the Comets ahead 6-5. Albion came back with a layup and free throw to go ahead 8-6. Senior Julia Decker made a jump shot to even the score and junior Zoee Zatarga made a layup for a 10-8 Olivet lead. From there, the Britons ended the quarter on a 15-2 run for a 23-12 lead. Albion maintained a double-digit lead for the rest of the game.
- Connelly was the only Olivet player to score in double digits, as she had 13 points. She also posted team-highs with seven rebounds, four assists and three steals.
- Zatarga finished with seven points.
- Freshman Kinsley Hatfield came off the bench to score six points in 11 minutes.
- Becca Ross contributed a game-high 15 points from Albion's bench.
- Daniah Beavers and Elena Welker each scored 14 points.
- Beavers and Lolo Reed had seven rebounds apiece.
- Reed dished out five assists.
- Olivet wraps-up a five-game homestand next Wednesday, December 8, when Franklin (Ind.) College visits the Cutler Event Center for a non-conference game, starting at 7 p.m.
